I’m Cyndi Wheat, an accomplished celebrity fashion stylist and Entertainment and Fashion Mogul. As the President/CEO of The Creative Branding Agency EMBRYO, I have been setting major trends in the fashion, music, and television industries for over 10 years.
My journey began in New York City, where I worked backstage for a major fashion runway production company during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. There, I had the opportunity to dress some of the world’s top supermodels and style covers for Women’s Wear Daily magazine. This was my first introduction to the glamorous world of fashion. Later, I was recruited by music mogul Jermaine Dupri to work exclusively for So So Def Recordings, Columbia Records, and Sony Music as a fashion stylist and creative consultant. I was responsible for developing original images for various recording artists signed to the label, styling them for their television appearances, music videos, editorial shoots, CD covers, packaging, and award ceremonies.
I then landed my dream job as head of wardrobe and fashion stylist/market editor for MTV Networks. For many years, I played a major role in American pop culture, translating fashion trends to millions of MTV viewers. I styled all on-air celebrity talent and guests and consulted with MTV executives and producers to ensure that the overall look and image of the channel, the MTV VJs, and all celebrity guests were stylishly hip for the network’s various programs, news specials, and award ceremonies.
I’ve always been at the forefront of style, revolutionizing the fashion industry by giving many new, cutting-edge designers their first big break and worldwide exposure on MTV. My groundbreaking work in fashion, music, and entertainment has earned me enormous respect and admiration among my peers and A-list clientele.
I’ve had the honor of dressing icons such as Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Sean Combs, Sofia Vergara, Jamie Foxx, Carson Daly, Pamela Anderson, Tyrese, Chris Rock, and Tyra Banks. My work has appeared in numerous magazines, including Vogue, Vibe, Essence, and People Magazine. I’ve also appeared on BET, CBS, FOX Networks, CNN, and on Barbara Walters’ "The View" as a fashion expert. Additionally, I’ve been a frequent contributor and featured in Marie Claire and Allure magazine.
After achieving enormous success, I decided to start my own Creative Branding Agency, EMBRYO. As a creative visionary and powerhouse, I’ve helped shape the careers of many major superstars. With my extensive experience, resources, and creative talent, I plan to continue building iconic brands for many years to come.
